Christine Hanson to host Look Good... Feel Better program in San Ramon
Program helps women with appearance related effects of chemotherapy and radiation
September 10, 2007--San Ramon
Look Good, Feel Better, a program sponsered by the American Cancer Society, the National Cosmetology
Association, and the Cosmetics Toiletries and Fragrance Association, will be offered to cancer patients undergoing treatment in the Tri-Valley. This program brings women together for an event that offers healing and practical information about wearing wigs, head coverings, and using cosmetics to camoflauge changes in skin and hair patients experience while under treatment.
Hanson, who experienced hair loss due to radiation therapy for a brain tumor, and has been one of Alameda County's longest participants in this program, will educate, entertain, and help women survive this difficult life challenge. Her lighthearted look at baldness makes patients feel less conspicous about hair loss.
