Livermore's best hair stylist says,"There is more to having your hair done than a good shampoo and shorter hair."

Great hair stylists understand that they are creating an interpretation of how the client wants to feel when he or she looks into a mirror.

Sometimes you just want a hair cut...

And sometimes you want to really look good!

Men are not immune to vanity, we all like to think we look our best but sometimes it is difficult to know where to look for a really good hair cut. Is the local barber shop good enough? Should you try a "salon-spa?" Maybe the best answer lies somewhere in the middle. For most men $40.00 to $50.00 is a bit too much to pay, but those $10.00, ten minute places aren't quite what you had hoped for. If you want to look great you must understand that good work takes time and 10 minute hair cuts don't allow for any finish work that really turns an ok cut into a balanced, line-free, good looking style.

And of course you should expect to pay a bit for that extra attention. But, as a long time professional I must tell you that a $50.00 hair cut is not better, and often is much worse than a good $15.00-$20.00 cut. What you are paying for at the higher rate is atmosphere in the salon, period. If having a fountain, maybe a glass of wine, (be careful to be certain you are the only one that is drinking during your cut) and a head or hand massage is important to you then by all means go for it!

But if you really only want a great cut at a fair price look for stylists that understand that YOU are the client and they are there to serve you, and are not acting like you are taking up valuable cell phone time. Too often I see styists, cashiers, and other customer service professionals that at as if they are doing the establishment a favor by coming to work, and you do NOT want this type stylist to cut your hair.

We have to get back to great customer service, it is not about just getting the bucks, and all clients, male and female, deserve our appreciation and our best work. Just my opinion...
